Didgeroo has just completed the phase 1 website of an exciting new online startup called Tumbla (working title).

The next phase of this online service is still under wraps, but what we can share with you the first stage.

Phase 1 of Tumbla involved building a Joomla 2.5 template for use by community residents associations. This template can be easily duplicated , customised and branded for each association.

Didgeroo decided that the Joomla CMS would be the best choice for this phase of the project due it’s modular structure, and because our client was already very familiar with Joomla.

In addition to the core CMS functionality, Didgeroo customised a number of Joomla extensions to provide the following:

  • A membership management system Membership application form linked to PayPal Front end administration Private Message system with email notifications
  • A local service directory Custom fields (name, location, type of service, description, image etc) News items can be linked to directory entries. These items should be displayed with a directory listing
  • A local map page built using OS OpenSpaceset to a predefined location and zoom level does not contain custom POI’s or links to the directory.
  • Custom modules:
  • Amazon Associates Widget module
  • RSS news display module

Additionally, the custom Joomla Template has a number of options to allow the site to be easily replicated and customised.
