Interactive directory for a retail park
Didgeroo and the design agency To The Point partnered to design and build an innovative website a large retail park.
A key feature of this website is an interactive directory. For this we built a bespoke WordPress plugin using the Google Map API. We customised the appearance of the Google Map and added an additional layer showing building and facilities within the retail park. The WordPress dashboard was extended with two new post types, one to define each building and another to define each business.
Other features include:
- A mobile-first design approach, design for 320px viewport then progressively enhancing as the viewport increases.
- 100% fluid layout with limited use of break points
- Separate mobile and desktop navigation. Desktop versions use a top header menu where as the mobile version uses a burger menu.
